In case you did not know, Mission World has become a new independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, now known as Twelve Stones Global. We remain committed to serving unreached and marginalized communities in South Asia, Haiti, and Mexico.
The name Twelve Stones Global is inspired by the biblical account of Joshua leading the Israelites out of forty years in the wilderness and into the Promised Land. After crossing the Jordan River, twelve stones were taken from the riverbed and placed on dry ground as a memorial to God’s faithfulness and provision for future generations.
Sponsoring children for school in Haiti has been an important focus for us since 2007. I am writing you this week to invite you to focus with us in this effort for the Children of Haiti.
I want to tell you about a little girl named Clara. She’s tiny — maybe three years old — wearing a sunny yellow dress with little white rainbows on it. She sat in a wooden chair, held up a card with her name written in blue ink, and looked straight into the camera with the most serious, searching eyes I’ve ever seen.

She is one of 31 children who are waiting.
I have traveled to Haiti and sat with these children one by one. Each of them held up a sign with their name so that you — yes, you specifically — could find them. They don’t know your name yet. But they are hoping someone like you exists.
The need is simple and the cost is real. For $35 a month — or $350 for the full year — you sponsor one child at Bedoux School. Here is exactly what that covers:
School tuition, books, a uniform, and shoes — everything they need to walk through that door ready to learn.
A twice-weekly food stipend of beans, rice, and oil — given directly to each child’s mother, so the whole family is nourished.
I have sat in these rooms. I have watched these mothers receive their stipends with quiet dignity. I know what this does for a family. And I know what it means for a child to show up to school with shoes on their feet and food in their stomach.
A full year of school and food for a child who has neither without you. Will you choose one?
